Lee Potts
Senior Credit Officer/Vice President
Lee has been with Security Bank since 2005. As Vice President/Senior Credit Officer, Lee's primary duties include Ag and Commercial Lending and he serves on Security Bank's Executive Loan Committee and Management Team.
Lee grew up on a family farm south of Hartington, where his family raised corn, soybeans, alfalfa, hogs, and cattle. Since graduating from UNL in 1999 with an Ag Economics degree, he spent a short time as a pen rider at a commercial feedlot near West Point, has experience as a commodity market consultant with both DTN and Land O'Lakes, having held a Series 3 license during part of that time; and then a farm financial consultant with Nebraska Farm Business in Lincoln assisting farmers across the state with accounting, tax planning, and financial analysis. It was during that time in Lincoln that the opportunity arose to work at the bank and move closer to his home area.
Lee has felt most at-home in the Cedar and Dixon County rural and small-town area and working with farm and commercial customers to ensure their business success for years to come. Over the past several years, he has been involved in the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge TeamMates program, St. Mary's Parish Council and finance committee, Laurel Chamber Community Club, and Laurel Planning Commission. He has also recently become involved at the state-level, as part of the Nebraska Bankers Association Leadership Class of 2014, and becoming a new member of the Nebraska Bankers Association Lending Committee. Lee and his wife, Jackie, have two kids.
